The Shadow_Movement has arrived! The Anix’s debut full-length album with FiXT is OUT NOW! Featuring 15 tracks of future-rock set in a dystopian cyberpunk world where no one is safe from the despotic domination of the ‘machines of industry and influence.’
“The overall message behind the album is to stop hiding. Be an individual and not a clone. Everyone wants to just be accepted and not cause ripples because it’s a scary and intimidating road to take to show your true colors. I feel like every industry in the world can only benefit from people being more true to themselves and showing their talents and influences.” – Brandon Smith
With acclaim already pouring in over Shadow_Movement, fans of The Anix may be wondering how this album is different from previous works in Brandon’s career:
“This album is the first time I have had complete control over every aspect of the song. Even previous albums where I was the main writer, I would always be influenced by how we as a band would play the song live, or by what the other guys in the band would think, what parts would they play, would they actually enjoy playing it etc. This time, I wrote the songs entirely to satisfy what I wanted to hear and what I think is missing in todays music selection. I didn’t have a producer wanting to turn my songs into a rock song, or someone wanting me to change lyrics, or change the mix, it is 100% the vision I have had for my music.” – Brandon Smith

“…I’m privileged to have Brandon’s new album Shadow_Movement releasing on FIXT. One reason I pursued to sign him to FiXT is because I knew many of you would dig his sound & aesthetic as much as I do. Dig into Shadow_Movement & get lost in the sound!” – Klayton (Celldweller / FiXT President & Founder)
“…Shadow_Movement sounds good. In fact, at times it sounds very good: the instrumental backbone of the album is excellent, the songwriting confidently stands up in the face of Smith’s ambitious chosen dystopian concept, and vocally Smith’s range suits the direction of the music.” – AltWire.net
“Some of you may feel like electronic songs are a dime a dozen these days, and for certain artists that may be true, but The Anix is an exception. By combining a lifetime of influences ranging from rock to pop and industrial, The Anix has crafted a unique sound that is unlike anything else being promoted right now.” – Substream Magazine
“…combining a pop sensibility with melodic, electronically-oriented alt-rock. It’s catchy, and it all works really well.” – New Fury Media
“If you enjoy bands like Depeche Mode, Innerpartysystem, and potentially Nine Inch Nails, you’ll find something to appreciate in this, as it’s a fun take on electronica rock with a space age feel.” – GarageBandGamers.com
